The Schalke sporting director is confident that his side will down Viktoria Plzen in the second-leg of the Round of 32 clash to progress.

Heldt claimed that Schalke are in a good position after sharing the spoils in Plzen. He admitted that it in the end going through is what matters in Europe. The general manager added that the result in the first-leg means that
the ball is in Schalke’s court and remained confident of reaching the last 16 of the competition.
“We've put ourselves in a good position with the 1-1 draw. We were away from home. The game wasn't always pleasant viewing but the result is what counts in the end. We have it in our own hands to progress to the Round of 16 with
a good performance at home,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to the club’s official website.
However, Heldt insisted that the opposition has the experience of playing in the UEFA Champions League and warned his side against complacency. He admitted that the Czech team is well capable of making a comeback and his side will
have to be aware of that.
The chief claimed that Die Knappen have a very good chance of qualifying for the next round and is confident of a successful season in Europe this term also.
“Viktoria Plzen are an interesting side who gave a good account of themselves in a strong Champions League section. We have been warned - Viktoria Plzen can play good football. With the fans behind us we aim to go through to the
next round,” he concluded.
Schalke and Viktoria Plzen will face each other in the second-leg at Veltins-Arena on Thursday, February 23. The home side is flying high with a sensational 4-0 victory over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 this past weekend and should have no difficulty
in beating the spirited Czech side.
