Hey I'm from Canada going on an exchange to Brazil. Any good ideas for gifts? I would love to make it interesting like a craft.. only idea I've heard is making placemats with Canada-print material. Help? Thanks :)

  1. post-card, bracelets

  2. It's always a good idea to bring things from your specific area when you visit. So look at your town/city/province to see what you are know for... glass, textile, stone, leather, paper. If that doesn't work for you...Do you come from an area where local sports are relatively well known.... HOCKEY??? soccer?

Bring hats, t-shirts, towels, handkerchiefs, etc. How about a Canadian flag for your host family to hang... I'd love that if it were me.

Good luck and have a wonderful time.

  3. Nice handmade portraits or paintings made from photos of some nice places in Canada would be a good gift idea. You can find more such ideas at http://www.paintyourlife.com

They make all types of personalised and unique portraits on oil, pencil, charcoal or on canvas.
