can i trim my hosta stems down after the blooms are done? i think it would look better =) Thanks!

  1. It won't effect the plant in any way, I cut mine off all the time.


  2. Yes, just trim them back.  They do look shaggy once the blooms fade.  I need to get out and trim some of mine. I have different kinds and they bloom at different times.  That's good though, the hummingbirds love them.

  3. Only cut down if leaves are starting to turn yellow.Proper time is Oct
