Hostels in Berlin?

I'm going to Berlin SOON with five others. We'll need to spend one night in a hostel. Safety takes priority over everything. Any recommendations?

Good timing  !! We are just back from Berlin and stayed at The Meininger hostel ..There a 3 of this chain in Berlin but the one on Meininger Str. is the least expensive if you are worried about cost..You can pre-book this place either on hostelworld.com or meininger-hostels.de or with selloffvacations.com..However for a few Euros more The hotel "Air In Berlin" is a much better choice.Very central, just off the Ku'd**n ..Book them at hotelairinberlin.de..Enjoy..voyagesannet...

Meininger hostels are really good and have been used and recommended for decades. Also check twizi.com, they list cheap hostels and also show you a map so you know where the hostel is that you are booking.

Don't worry about safety in Berlin or in this hostel. It is a safe city and the generator hostel is a decent establishment.
