Hostess pa?

ok so I worked as a hostess at a restaurant in Allentown Pennsylvania a very nice restaurant at that. and im making 3.50 a hour plus tips but the tip's are only 2 percent of the hours you work it's werd and so basically if its a fast day and i work a double shift(10 houer) i make like 35 in tipes and i dont just sit the people down and also bused the tables and some time bring drinks and stuff. and i DO a LOT .. i have bin told im one of their best workers .. i only been working there three weeks. nad it'e a really NICE restaurant .and to day he went to the diner and asked her opinion on it and she told me the hostess gets paid 8 an hour and the buser get 5 and 10% of tips and and at my job I am basically doing both what do you think.. I should ask for more pay?

  1. hostess should make a solid rate like 8$ an hour or something, if your making more than that with tips- then you are fine.


  2. To begin with, you accepted the job at the pay they offered.  Meaning, when they said, "Will you work for 3.50?", you said Yes.    

    Also, you can really increase your value to your employer by continuing to provide incredible service with a great attitude.  Keep doing that and then you can ask for a salary review after a few months.
