Hosts Halifax Mooseheads to have its players in the Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game
Halifax Mooseheads, who would be hosting the 18th Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, which is to be played on the 16th of the January 2013, will have their players on the field on the game is played, something for the joy of
home fans and the spectators.
The game which is to be played in the Metro Centre of Halifax in Nova Scotia will be hosted by the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) team and will have two of their best players in the game, who are also being rated very high in the rankings of NHL
Central Scouts.
Both of their players would be representing the Team Cherry in the game, which is being coached and under the guidance of the former famous ice hockey professional player Don Cherry.
The two Mooseheads’ players in the team are Nathan MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin. Both of the players play in the same position as the forwards and help their team whenever it needs the scoring of goals. Both of them also of very good understanding as they
play together mostly and can go through any team’s defenseman quite easily.
17 year old MacKinnon has been named captain of the Team Cherry for the game and he is one of the players who are being predicted to be picked first overall in the 2013 NHL Draft.
During a press conference, MacKinnon looked very confident and happy to be named the captain of the side and knew the fact that they would be supported very well by their home crowd when they game is played. He also vows to learn from this experience along
with his other team mates as he said,
"I'm aware of the Halifax support and very thankful to be playing for Halifax, it's a great hockey market. The fans are going to be fired up for the game and it's going to be a lot of fun. The crowd is awesome here, and they support us every game so, for
sure, this experience with [Drouin and possibly Fucale] is going to be special. We're going to take a lot from this game."
