Hot Dogs & Pizza in NYC?

Question

People have told me that if you visit New York City you must try NY's famous hot dogs and pizza. Now I know there are tons of places that sell hot dogs and that sell pizza, but any places that are really good and by any chance around the times square area... any recommendations would be appreciated :0)

with the hot dogs, just get one from a street vendor in time square...they're never not good...pizza I've had in random small shops that I don't remember the names of though so I can't tell you, but pizza is never really bad there...they would go out of business with all the good pizza places around.

Lombardi's on Spring St. for Pizza, also John's on Bleecker.

Good pizza - walk down to 9th ave & 41st(yes there is a 41st street over there) i don't know the name of it, but i'm sure you'll see the line and all slices are $1.00 it's some of the best pizza i've had here.

Hot Dogs - same area in may be called Papya king, don't hold me to that though, i am right about the cross streets though, it's on 8th ave & 37th(beef hot dogs, Halal) i think it's like 2 dogs and a drink for like $2.00 get one with their special onions, one with k***t & ketchup, YUMMO!

I really liked Ray's pizza! I think there was one near Times Square, and it's affordable =) Have fun in New York!

My favorite is Joe's Pizza at the West 4th stop, there's also John's which is good brick oven pizza at West 4th or in Times Square, Ray's on Prince st near Elizabeth street is the best Rays in town but they are easy to find on 8th avenue near time's square.  

For hot dogs you gotta go to Gray's Papaya, there are numerous locations.  Look all these places up on the net so you know where they are

The most amazing place to get hot dogs is definitely off the street. And generally any place in New York has good pizza...
