Hot Secret likely to win Orleans Nursery
Hot Secret is tipped to prevail in the Orleans Nursery at Sandown in England on Friday, August 31, 2012. She has not been able to deliver good results with consistency since making debut, but has a solid chance of shining in the 5 furlong 6 yard event today,
which is scheduled to start at 14:20 GMT.
A total of eight runners have been attracted towards the class-4 race, which has a cash prize of £3,881 for the winner. The going has been described as good, thus none of the participants will have any issues with the conditions.
A few of the participants are in pretty decent form at the moment, thus the spectators will be looking forward to an interesting contest. The bookmakers have given pretty decent odds to Equitania and Vectis and expect them to give a tough time to each other.
The latter of the above two is carrying the winning momentum right now and will definitely cause a lot of problems for his opponents. However, his victory came in a rain affected race and he is yet to prove his potential in different conditions.
On the other hand, Hot Secret is a flexible performer, as she has the ability to cope up with a change in conditions. She has been priced 7 to 2 by the bookies and will definitely get the attention of the punters.
The two-year-old filly has appeared in seven races until now, but her winning percentage is not good at all, as she has been victorious just once. In addition to that, she has finished as a runner up on a couple of times, which shows that she has the ability
to give a tough time to her opponents under favourable circumstances.
The Andrew Balding’s trainee made her debut in June this year, but failed to make a strong impression in her first ever race. She followed that up with a few reasonable performances, but she made her team proud by winning her first race in August. She followed
that up with a runner up place, which boosted her confidence to great extent.
However, Hot Secret was unable to deliver a strong result last time around, but will be looking to turn the table this time. She will be partnered by veteran jockey, William Buick.
