Question:

Hot Weather?

I'm probably going to ask one of the most ridiculous questions ever.

The humidity often times wakes me up to where I am drenched in nothing but icky sweat. It's like this throughout the day also. So I was wondering what's the best way finacially to go to keep my house cool? As I don't have central air, or can be bothered to put in my AC. The fans just seem to blow out nothing but hot air and I don't have a fan tall enough to reach over my bed at night.

  1. bath with ice =)

  2. Avoid the hot and sticky feeling..move here to the desert..it's a dry heat..the temp reached 106* today and is expected to reach at least the same if not hotter tomorrow.

Since you have the high humidity My idea wont work..maybe...sometimes I'll wet a towel and cover 1/2 the fan and it does cool off for a few minutes....of course the dry heat tends tpo dry the towels quicker.

  3. The humidity gives you a heat index based on the amount of moisture in the earth.   With no movement (like  a fan),  the air is stagnant and stuffy.
