Ok so every time i go to the doctor for a physical he checks my ears and gets these big long metal things shoves it in my ear and gets whole bunches of wax out. I used to get a million ear infections so i had the tubes operation. That worked and i didn't get AS MANY ear infections after that. But now i don't get ear infections i get clogged ears. My doctor told be to put hot oil in my ear at night time and it helped but this is overwhelming for it and doesn't help. I don't like to do it every night so yeah.

My question is why the heck do i have to much d**n wax in my ears??? Oh yeah my left ear is clogged and i haven't heard a thing out of it for a long long time. (5 months at least)

Please help me and maybe give me some alternative techniques.

  1. have you ears candled. this works amazing. check it out online.

  2. Idk what the heck my mom was doin but she rolled a peace of paper into a coney tube thing and like light it at the big end and put the smaller end in my dads ear...I think she said it was like gettin rid of the wax...idk maybe you should ask about that. lol

  3. Yes my daughter suffers from wax in her ears and was even scheduled to have an operation but I found the solution.   They are called Hopi ear candles, they are long waxed cones which you insert in your ear and light them.  The cone acts as like a chimney and draws out the wax very gently, you won´t be able to feel it. I have used them on my daughter since she was 2 years old and they are perfectly safe.  She says that she can hear crackling in her ears whilst she is being treated.  When you finish you can open up the candles and check the amount of wax.  needless to say you will need someone to help you with this treatment to avoid accidents

  4. Well, you need to go back to the Dr. even if you don't like to or want to, especially if you can't hear out of one of your ears. Then you need to ask about an ear wash that you can do at home instead of the hot oil. You could always go to the local pharmacy at Walmart or Target, etc and ask the pharmacist for an over the counter ear wash.

  5. I used to buy a cleaning solution for my dogs ears...I cannot imagine that there isn't some human version of this available.  Because you do have a history of this being a problem, I suggest trying a different doctor.

Be very careful about suggestions from a bunch of yahoos, not all of the suggestions offered to you may be safe.

You could also try your local health food store, they often have folks that work with the alternative medicines who are very knowledgable.

  6. My mom used to use hydrogen peroxide in our ears for a minute or two laying our head down so none would spill out, after the peroxide would drain out of our ears, she would use a bobby pin and clean out the wax, but not to far into the ear or u will damage ur ear drum

  7. My friend had the same problem he went to see the doctor again and told him about his problem you should do the same and the problem should be cleared up

  8. go to www.webmd.com and search ear wax....

  9. my brother has the same problem. heres something that really works...but is kinda weird. they sell them at gnc and other health stores...long, hallow candles for your ears. you stick it in your ear and light the wick. the wax will be sucked up the candle since it creates a vaccum, and it really gets the wax deep down in there, so you'll be good for a while.

  10. flush with peroxide or with hot water to get rid of extra wax (check with doctor first because with tubes you may be different)

  11. I can't hear anything out of one ear for the same reason. More regular oil can soften it, then get them kind of hoovered, I don't know what it's called, at the doctors'. I was going to do that, but I don't like having the oil so I just got used to it.
