Indian Captain Mahindra Singh Dhoni - after signing a three year endorsement deal worth Rs. 26 crore (US dollar 5.7 million approximately) with the world's second largest spirits firm, the UB Group - is all set
to sign four more lucrative deals in the next few months. This was revealed by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Arun-Pandey-c46119, the owner of Rhiti Sports Management.
"We are talking to several companies at the moment. At least three to four new brand endorsement deals will be closed in the next two months," said Pandey.
By signing the Rs. 26 Crore deal - apparently the biggest ever signed by an Indian sportsperson, Dhoni has now become the brand ambassador for McDowell's soda for 3 years. This deal has been signed with the UB
Group, owned by Vijay Malaya
Rhiti Sports Management in collaboration with Mindscapes One, tied up a deal worth Rs. 210 Crore with the Indian skipper earlier this year to manage the player’s endorsements and brand associations. The 29-year-old
Ranchi boy, according to Pandey, is currently representing 23 brands and charges more than six crore for each endorsement. The brands currently being endorsed by the Indian Captain includes http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Godrej-c60262, Reebok, PepsiCo, TVS Motor and Aircel.
Before signing the present contract, the Indian skipper was brand ambassador for Royal Stag Mega Cricket Signs owned by Seagram, one of the largest alchoholic distillers in the world and a direct competitor of
the UB Group. In his deal with Seagram, which ended in July, he was joined by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gautam-Gambhir-c58623.
The Bihar boy topped the chart for celeb endorsements on TV during the first six months of the current calendar, leaving behind not only the batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood King Shahrukh http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khan-c71319 but
also the glittering ladies of the big screen.
According to a survey conducted by the TAM Media Research, Dhoni, the world’s highest paid cricketer with earnings of US$ 10 million, endorsed 24 brands on TV during the first half of 2010 whilst King Khan and
Tendulkar were the face of 16 and 15 brands respectively.
