Hot pockets & a salad..hun???

Question

My male friend asked me if i wanted to hang out after work. We are just friends. He said he was going to cook and we could talk. OK, fine. But his dinner was ham and chees hot pockets, and a salad. I was a little surpised. Not that I minded. But, we had discussion about the meal.He said he always has a salad with hot pockets. I was just wondering if It was me? But, that does seem odd to me. He argued with me that everybody does it....

What do you guys eat with hot pockets, if anything at all. I thought the hot pocket was ok by itself. lol

I've never eaten anything with Hot Pockets... The bigger point is, "... He said he was going to cook and we could talk." Popping the Hot Pockets in the Sanyo and opening a bag of Fresh Crisp Salad is not cooking. However, extra points  if he used a toaster oven to give the Hot Pockets an extra crisp.  

On a serious note, if HPs are hi idea of dinner and you're ok with that, then adding a salad to make it more complete should be no biggie. I wouldn't read anything more into it. Now if he had grape Kool-Aid...

I think you're putting far too much thought into this.  The guy likes salads.

Pockets are good by themselves. But apparently can also be paired up with a side of salad to go with it. Maybe he was trying to throw something healthy in there.

Or maybe, he was too broke to go all out for spaghetti and meatballs and decided to do an italian dinner with a twist...

hot pockets and salad.  (Maybe that should be a choice at Olive Garden, then again that's assuming they had any sort of "Italian" flavor at all.)

Its fine, wierd, interesting. But everyone has their own palette and what they like.

Again, he likes cheap Italian! (Lol)
