How long do clothes normally stay in the store? (I know this is probably an idiotic question, but I'm new to shopping and stuff like that) the reason i'm asking is because i want a lot of clothes from there, but i need to earn the money first (i'm only thirteen)

Many stores will allow you to put the clothes you

want on "layaway". To do this, simply tell the clerk

you would like to buy the clothes later and that you

are willing to put some money towards that purchase.

For example, if the pants you want are $50 you might

give the clerk $20. They give you some sort of receipt

for the money paid and you give them the date by which

you expect to pay the rest. They hold onto the pants. Later,

you bring the remaining money owed and they give you your pants.
