I am looking for a reciept that is Hot, not spicey hot, which you can make up, refridgerate, than microwave when you are ready to eat. Its a tortilla chip dip. I have had it before, it has, I think, refried bean, and lots of cheese. I think there is even beef and taco seasoning. I am not sure what else there is. Can someone help me find this reciept, I have already looked online. Thank you

  1. This sounds close.  If you really wanted the beans, you could just use chili with beans or add some refried.  Just make it ahead of time and zap it in the micro when you are ready to serve.

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 cup chopped onion

1 to 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

    1 teaspoon ground cumin

    1 teaspoon chili powder

1 can (16 ounces) chili without beans

16 ounces grated process American cheese (Velveeta)

    salt, to taste

    PREPARATION:

Brown ground beef in a large skillet; add onion and cook until onion is tender, but not browned. Pour off excess fat. Add cumin, chili powder, chili, and cheese; cook, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted. Taste and add salt, as needed. Serve chafing dish with tortilla chips.

  2. I make this without beef, although I've seen that other people brown beef and add it:

    CON QUESO DIP

    1 8-oz. softened cream cheese

    8 oz. shredded cheese

2 cans Rotel tomatoes (I use 1 each hot/mild - just use 2 mild) - with the juice

Melt all together until smooth;  serve hot with tortilla chips

  3. That one sounds good! Don't have the recipe sorry. A good one is Velveeta cheese melted with salsa mixed in.

  4. that does sound good, I know of the chilli cheese taco dip which is canned chilli beans, taco meat & velveeta

(Or you can use canned chilli in place of taco meat & beans....)

Personally I like mine with chilli beans....

&  you can use regular velveeta--  just go by eye & mix it all up. And Of course a can of Hot (any kind) Rotell Tomatoes...  Melt in skillet on stove or in crockpot..

or this recipe is diff than the one I know but looks good.. may be the one your lookin for.

    Ingredients:

    1 lb. ground beef

    1 can chili (no beans)

1 lb. mild Mexican Velveeta cheese, cubed or shredded

    Preparation:

Brown hamburger; drain well and transfer to slow cooker. Add chili and cheese; cover and cook on low until cheese is melted, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally to blend ingredients. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
