Ok, I know water is good for your skin because it gets rid of toxins in your body...But...how is HOT water any better for you skin than normal water? Surely once you've swallowed it, it really doesn't matter what temperature it is. Does it have something to do with the actual boiling or the temperature? Just wondering =]

  1. Hot water opens your pores, and cold water keeps them closed. Use warm water to clean your face.

  2. The waterspeak used to be "cold water is better, because your body has to heat it up, and that burns calories".  LOL  There is always something new being said.  Most people I know who go in for the warmer water say that it is less of a shock to your system and can reduce the likelihood of constipation.

The thoughts on warm water benefits are below.  Mostly, they say the warmer water causes a rise in body temperature, much like a sauna, promoting detoxification through the pores.

  3. it really doesn't matter.

  4. I think your right. All I can think of it doing is burning your epiglottis (where food and water goes down)! Which doesn't benefit you. Maybe it is just not drinking ice cold water as that is not good for you, but other than that I am not sure!

  5. Tthe only difference is if you are drinking ice water, it burns a couple calories because your body needs to warm it up a little in order to process it into your system correctly.  I don't think warm water actually makes a difference, maybe when swallowed it also helps clear your pores and open them up. :)
