Hot water in a spray bottle?

Why is it when you have a spray bottle with hot water in it.You spray it on your face and its not hot?

which handle on the sink do you normally use? or maybe you have to share the water with other tenants, give it time to make sure that you are using the right handle, the left handle is hot, the right handle is cold, if you are using the hot handle that water will be cold for a little while until that gets hot to touch

This process is called evaporitive cooling.  the water spray is so tiny that as it flies through the air, it is cooled down by the air it travels through and is not hot when it hits your face.  

this is the same process as when you run a mile... right after you are hot and sweaty... but if you stand in the breeze, you can feel the cooling effect of the wind drying off your sweat.  same effect.

The water droplets are so small that the air quickly cools them as they travel toward your face.
