Hot water takes too long to get hot. why

  1. try rubbing it harder... OK check the temp on your water heater.   then think how far is it from the Water heater to the tap.


  2. Hard to answer this question without knowing what you're talking about.  Are you talking about the hot tap water, or are you having trouble boiling water on the stove?

    I'm guessing you're talking about the hot tap water.  You may need a new water heater or someone else may have used all the hot water that was stored in the water heater tank just before you tried to use it.  It takes time for the water heater to heat new hot water after the tank has been emptied of the hot water that was stored there.
