Question:

Hotdog vendor in Pittsburgh...?

when I was very young in Pittsburgh, Pa (early 70's) there was a hotdog vendor near the stadium that sold the most delicious dogs Ive ever had. You could smell them all the way down the street. Ive been all over the states and have never since had a dog that came close to compare. Would any hotdog connoisseurs out there know what kind of dog the vendor was selling, maybe a brand? or possibly know what kind of meat was in the dogs?

  1. Can you name the hot dog stand or cart or describe the place?  Do you know if it was kosher?  If it was a national brand, common brands are Nathans and Vienna Beef and often have their logo advertised.  If you live near the stadium, you might go there and have a chat with some of the older people who work there to see if they remember.

  2. what?!

  3. uh..... i don't know (i doubt anyone does). but the best hotdog vendor(s) are in NYC.
