Hotel Cabo San Lucas - Older, Classy, Grand Dame Hotel!?

Stayed there in 1998, fell in love! Just found it on Trip Advisor, said it closed in 2004, supposed to be refurbished, condos. Does anyone local know if this hotel has re-opened? On the Corrdier, Chilean Bay. There isn't a web site, and it doesn't seem to come up on most Cabo searches. Need the local scoop!

Hola.  The Hotel Cabo San Lucas which is right near Chileno beach has been closed for some time.  The whole area was bought by a company rumoured to be owned by Bill Gates, and they are currently transforming it into the Chileno Bay Club Resort.    It has not opened yet.  I've also heard there is alot of sueing and stuff going on.
