I called in to the Days Inn, and the check in age is 18. I am 18, but I have someone whos staying with me who is 17. When registering is it ok for me to put down i have a minor with me, or should i just reserve the room with just one adult, me, and have my friend come in later?

  1. I have worked for lets see.... one, ... two... 5 hotels now.

I am still working at the fifth hotel. What i have experienced is , dont ask dont tell. If you are making a reservation , and they dont ask for your age then dont mention it. I rent out rooms, all i check on a I.D is that your name matches your credit card.

Now there are other employees that ask what your age is and if whomever is in it is less than 17 they wont rent the room.

You are fine, you are 18 right? so if they do ask you, just say its you staying in the room. Let your friend wait in the car. And if they  say how many adults just say 2, trust me front desk clerks dont really care, aslong as its not 10 people and you have a party going on.

So yeah  let the friend wait, then come into the room, its easier that way.

  2. yeah it doesnt matter as long as you are the one checkin in.
