Hotel / Restaurant help in London!?

Hey all, i'm thinking of treating my boyfriend to a night out in London. Im going to start of with taking him on the London eye, then to a fancy restaurant, the type where you have to dress up and then spend the night at an amazing hotel.

Trouble is, i've had a look at restaurants on the net and it all seems to be alacarte, which isn't appealing to us. So my first question is, does anyone know of a fancy/nice restaurant to go to? Any recommendations?

And second - hotels! I've looked at the ritz, but with £320 a night, that went out the window.... I've had a look on last minute but i just wondered if anyone recommended anything?

Thank you.

  1. take him somewhere like laridges or gordsn ramseys, or any good michelin places, often the lunch memus are cheaper and better value

  2. the oxo tower its great!!!!

  3. Take him to the Oxo tower. Theres a great Harvey Nic's restaurant at the top with fantastic views, especially at night. The food, wine and service is top notch. If you look for it on the net (oxotower.co.uk) make sure you look at the resturant on the 8th floor, not the brasserie on the 2nd. They have a sample menu on the site, not the same as the currant menu but gives you a good idea of whats on offer. It's on the south bank not too far from the eye so maybe you can find a nice hotel near there. There are lots of other things to do during the day in the area such as Vinnopolis if you are into wine and The Globe of course which makes for a brilliant evening out. Enjoy x

  4. We liked Gordon Ramsey's restaurant MAZE at Berkeley square (I think that's how its spelled--Hey, I am American)

  5. TO EAT GO TO COVENT GARDEN

they entertain you as well as feed you.

and just by the river is a 'novatel'

for London it's not a bad price.
