  1. Hotel Industry works hand-in-hand with the Tourism Industry. And for this year's World Economic Forum, Philippine Tourism ranking rose from #86 to #81. That means the Hotel Industry is also in the rise.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Not very good. Hotel occupancy is just average.

  3. No. Tourism still have a lot of potential in the Philippines.

You see, there is a lot of demand for big hotels. Room shortage in the Philippines is common. I sometimes do find difficulties too.

In some ways, lack of hotel rooms can hamper tourism growth in the Philippines  too. Lack of competition resulting in high room rates can hurt tourism too.

Hotel industry everywhere is growing, service industry is growing very rapidly everywhere.

Lots of potential in this industry.

More developments of different ranges of hotel. I think should have more high-end hotels to bring down the prices in the Philippines. Better developments of hotels in the provinces and bring in more of those big players in the hotel industry into Philippines. Such as fairmont, swissotel so on and so forth.

Medium range and budget hotels are also essential to boost tourism. Maybe hotel sogo can upgrade to a more medium range hotel instead like a budget hotel. I think budget hotels are readily available in the Philippines.
