  1. keep in mind, there are hotels, and there are  HOTELS.

    there's a wide variation.

and quite a lot of them that you don't want to be in.

what makes you want to do that?

it would just never occur to me to want to do that.

(maybe because of some of the hotels i've stayed in :)

from the Ahwahnee to the Hotel Nesle in Paris (where cleanliness is not their forte - but they were cheap, a block from il de france on the left bank, and nice folks.)

  2. to become a hotel manager at least you should have an diploma from a recognized college,or have a bachelor from a university, and they make a very good money soif you live in canada and if you are from montreal checkout these website:

    www.concordia.ca

    www.lasallecollege.ca

  3. Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you want to be a hotel manager and are only concerned about the money, you will never be successful.  I work at a AAA Five Diamond hotel on Palm Beach, so I know what I am talking about.

It sounds like you are either just starting or finishing school - either way you have to earn your way into a hotel manager position.  No reputable hotel will hire you out of school as  a hotel manager - not even an assistant manager without experience in other areas.  Learn all the departments that will fall under you - front door, front desk, bell services, housekeeping.  You will need to know it all.  Work on being an effective communicator.

Be patient.  Also reputable hotels, will never advertise or discuss salary unless you are a viable candidate.
