My friend and i plan on staying in a hotel, we are staying with a couple of 16 year olds...but we are only 15, how old do you have to be to stay in a hotel without an adult or by yourself?

Thanks x

  1. In the US?  You won't be allowed to check-in and/or stay unless you're at least 18 (some hotels require that at least 1 person be 21).

If you have a legitimate need for staying, you may be able to get permission from the hotel (from your boss if it's work-related, from a parent if, well, can't think of a good reason).

  2. Ya you most certainly need to be 18, so it doesn't really matter if you are 15 or 16 because none of you are technically supposed to be staying in a hotel without adult supervision.

  3. 18-21, and a photo ID, and maybe a credit card.
