Hotel reservation?

Question

If I make a one night reservation on thursday, does that include that whole day and the next day (friday) too? do they also charge if you stay during the day or just the night?

I've always felt it was a rip that I didn't get a full 24 hours, but that's not the way it works.

Check in depends on the hotel and when the room is ready. Usually anywhere between 2-4 p.m.  Check-out is usually noon... in order for the maids to get in to clean the room for the next occupants.  But, I've found you can usually get a few extra hours if you call and talk real nice to the front desk people... just ask for a late check out.

Basically they're charging you for the night, since you have to be out by noon.

Check in is 3 or 4 pm Thursday. Check out is 11 am Friday.
