Hotel with wifi in saigon?

Hi,

I look for a clean hotel with wifi, good area, close to departement store, monument and nightlife.

I have a budget of 10-15 dollars for the room.

Do u know a good adrdess?

At Pham Ngu Lao street, (near Saigon market)  there are cheaper hotels with reasonable price

WiFi Internet is expanding in Saigon. In fact, Motorola was just awarded a project to develop high speed wireless in HCMC and Hanoi as a means to expand Internet connectivity faster than the traditional means of using ADSL over antiquated phone lines. Unfortunately, it's still a couple years away before WiFi is easily available in HCMC.

You can get a hotel room for $10-$15/night if you stay away from the tourist areas, such as District 1. However, you will be lucky to find Internet access in the hotel, let alone WiFi, for those prices. You could find a hotel close to an Internet cafe and see if they will allow you to hook up a wireless router for you during your stay (I do this all the time). You will need to have your own equipment and will probably have to configure their network to accept the WiFi equipment, which will probably be over their heads.

If at the least, the Internet cafe can hook your computer into their network while you're in the cafe'. It's usually free of charge to do so except for the time you spend online there.
