Hotels - Clapham/Battersea/Nearby

Question

Can anybody recommend any nice hotels in clapham, battersea or somewhere nearby which are of a reasonable price and close to the tube?

Yes, there is a guest house on Lavender Sweep (it's run as a hotel though) It's called the Lavender Guest house in SW11. It's about an 8 min walk from Clapham Junction station overground and a 25 min walk or 10 min bus ride from Clapham common Tube station. It's a lovely friendly place and run by I think a Greek man. It Is a family run place.

He was trying for a hotel status a few year ago and is totally up to scratch in regards to ratings, en-suite bathrooms etc - but couldn't get one as my family got one instead for ours down the road from his lol some stupid law back then I think! We closed a few years ago :0)

There is also a Travel Lodge near Wandsworth town overground station on York Road  SW11. It's also not too far from Clapham Junction station.

A more expensive Hotel would be the Windmill. Not too sure where exactly they are but you can google them.

There are a few student backpacker type hotels along Clapham Common, in between Clapham common station and Clapham South station (Tube) but we never recommended people there so not sure what they are called or what they would be like.

I would try the Lavender Guest house first (even if he was our rival hehe) as it's a lovely quiet place and has a warm and friendly feeling to it and is basically near everything you'll want.

i would go to laterooms it's a website with discounted hotel rooms it's really. i got a four star hotel room the other week for £45 rock on !!!
