We are wanting to go to the Indianapolis Zoo. We would like to find a hotel that isn't too costly. All of the downtown hotels were just too pricey. We don't mind staying in the outerparts of Indy. We are coming from Cincinnati. Are there any neighborhoods you would recommend or NOT recommend?

  1. I 465 and Michigan road on the north side has both medium and lower priced hotels and motels. The Holiday Inn at this location has an indoor water park.

  2. West side doesn't have anything other then motels (Days Inn & one I can't remember the name of) and they are pretty "run down" looking.  Don't know about north/south/east sides.

If you don't mind driving a few miles on west of Indy, there is a Holiday Inn Express in Brownsburg, which is at exit 66.

  3. Right outside of downtown there is a lot of creepy neighborhoods that are really bad and you defintally don't want to stay there. You will be able to tell where the bad neighborhoods end.

  4. I live on the East Side of Indianapolis and there is no hotels there.  :D

There is one little motel Cumberland but it might actually be apartments.  When I go to the South Side of Indianapolis I see hotels there.  I don't know sorry i'm just 13.

  5. You can try hotel search in http://www.AmericaCheapHotels.com where you can read hotel details, reviews and comments, see photos and its physical locations through maps, details about important nearby locations ....

Best thing is you can compare the USA/worldwide hotel prices in any city in any country in your local currency.

You can find good deals because this compares hotel prices from 30 best travel websites.

You can even able to filter out hotel by its features such as Star hotels,Business Center, Room Service, High-speed Internet, Fitness Room, Restaurant Parking, Swimming pool, Pets Allowed, Airport shuttle, Handicap Accessible, Concierge ...

Access lots of USA and worldwide travel information.

  6. Coming from Cincinnati, the southside would be the nicest and cheapest area to stay. There are several hotels right off I-465 around the southside of town that would be reasonable. I would avoid the eastside of town.  I don't think there are many hotels in that area anyway.

But really, the Indianapolis Zoo is nothing compared with Cincinnati. I am all about Hoosier pride, but the zoo is just so-so.

  7. Hotwire.com

By the way the Cincinatti zoo is so much better you will be disappointed
