  1. My personal favorite is the Hotel St. Andre des Arts. Its cheap, clean, and friendly with a perfect location. It is also, however, basic. No TV, no minibars, no elevator. I've been staying there on short trips for 30+ years (On long trips I rent an apartment).

  2. Hotel de la Sorbonne is great! A two-star hotel that easily beats out several three-star ones in the same neighborhood.

http://www.hotelsorbonne.com/ ~ Book a room on their website directly to have the lowest rate. Depending on when you want to go, the rates vary by season. Overall, it's a great value.

Like all other hotels under 200 euro a night, the rooms are on the small side but they are very clean and nicely decorated. The staff is wonderful. I've come back here a few times in the last year and I always leave very satisfied with my visit.

  3. You can have a huge list of  Saint Germain/Latin Quarter hotels here -

    http://www.discountcityhotels.net/paris-...

All hotels are listed there from 2 star budget hotels to 4 star deluxe, Luxury hotels in Saint Germain/Latin Quarter Paris.

  4. You can try to see http://francehotels-paris.com/.

    have a nice stay.

  6. Check the website www.nyceParis.com : they have a nice selection of hotels in the Latin Quarter. I often go to Paris for work and I already personnally booked through this site - the Hotel de Notre Dame, - the Europe Saint Severin, - the Carofftel Gobelin and - the Serotel : they are all good hotels, I never had any problem (the best for the view in the Hotel de Notre Dame, but they are all nice though of different styles). I recommand them all without hesitation.

  7. Tons! But, try something different!  Instead of a boring expensive hotel filled with germans/japanese instead try staying in a vacation rental!  That is, go to craigslist paris and check out all the cool vacation rentals in Paris.  They are often cheaper than hotels and better cause you get to live like a parisian!  You'll have a kitchen, private bath, great view, comfort, internet, tv...

I do this alot when I'm travelling and always am glad I did.

  8. I Stayed in Hotel Jardins Alesia in Alesia its a Metro Ride away from St Germain/Latin Quarter and its a wonderful 2star hotel but i don't know how much it cost because i went with my college and the metro station isn't far from the hotel either the metro station is across the road from the cinema so if you're getting the eurostar from St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord you can get the Line 4 metro from Paris Gare du Nord to Alesia.

OH and another point you have 15 seconds to get on or off the metro and then the door shuts and there was 10 of us on a packed metro with suitcases so we all had to jump off we came up with a funny solution

    THROW, JUMP AND DIVE

throw your suitcases, jump out and dive onto your suitcases LOL :)
