Hotels in Venice?

I'm going to Venice with my girlfriend in a couple of weeks. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel to stay?

I'm going at the end of November for my 30th birthday and we're staying at a 3* hotel called Alla Corte Rossa in the  Dorsoduro part of Venice. We went there last year in May and stayed there and it was a really lovely hotel and I absolutely fell in love with Venice! It's a really fair price as other hotels I looked at were very expensive. I booked through lastminute.com. I've wanted to go back since last May and I'm so looking forward to it!

Depends how much you want to spend.  Hotels in Venice are very expensive for what they are.  There's romantic luxury for a king's ransom around St Mark's Square.  And cheaper but awful near the railway station.

I usually stay at Locanda Martini.  This is a very well appointed inn with excellent rooms but no room service.  It doesn't have a restaurant but there's one next door.

I went to Venice two days ago, I'm italian, and I spent two nights in a hotel which is nice and pretty cheap. It is near Ponte di Rialto, two minutes walking, and ten minutes far from San Marco square. Its name is Hotel Bartolomeo, you can visit its website. It costs 130 € par night (for both of you) and the breakfast is included.
