Hotels in cozumel, Wyndham cozumel resort V.S Park Royal?

Question

Well i plan to travel to cozumel in feb. and i really like both hotels, but i wanted to ask about the actual beach the resorts has, are they nice, or are they rocky and muddy?

also what do you like of the hotels?

what do you dislike?

i am actually going there to look for some where to get married the following yr. any advise?

I stayed at the Wyndham Cozumel (formerly The Reef Club) in December.  Personally, I think the beach was great.  A lot of people seem to complain that its rocky, and it is a bit, but the Wyndham had the best beach that I've stayed at in Mexico (compared to the Moon Palace and Playacar Palace).  I loved all the loungers and thatched umbrellas on the beach and it's very pretty.  I did not get in the water right at the resort, so I don't know how that is, but bring water shoes and you should be okay.

What I liked:

If you're going diving, the onsite dive shop (Sandollar Sports) is wonderful!  They take such good care of you!

The dinner restaurants are great

The beach

Chiles (the outside restaurant) has delicious fajitas!

The grounds around the hotel are very well taken care of.  The atmosphere is sooo nice!

What I didn't like:

The rooms were not near as nice as the Palace resorts that I'm used to.  They work, but for instance, in the bathroom the ceiling was dripping around a light fixture.

The buffet...  I'm not really a buffet person I suppose.  The rest of my group (8 of us) didn't seem to mind it, but I chose to eat my lunches at Chiles instead.

All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the Wyndham Cozumel and I will most likely be returning in August with my parents who have never been to Mexico.

For candid reviews on these two hotels I would check out  this website. The Wyndham is new since I have been to Cozumel and V.S.Park Royal,l I have never stayed there.

We stay at the Presidente Intercontinental Cozumel Resort & Spa. It's not a all-inclusive but it has a great beach with a wonderful staff. We just love this resort. A very beautiful resort, to get married. Check it out. It's a 5 star resort. Truly.
