Hotels in dublin?

im planning a trip to dublin with a few friends next month, could you give me advise on which hotels are good value for money and could you also tell me a few hotels that i should avoid. thank you

I always found the Earl of Kildare Hotel Great...Yeah it's a tiny bit scruffy but not dirty. The staff are super pleasant though and the night porter is the kind of guy you wish was your dad. Come in late and he always tries to drag you into the closed bar with him for a sneaky drink. I once had a problem with a window and they sent in their handy man, the friendliest Welshman ever within 30 seconds to fix it. Book ahead and you'll get it super cheap.
