  1. George V (George Cinq).  Fabulous! $$$$

  2. The Lotti is one of my favorite hotels in Paris, with nice, spacious rooms for around 500 dollars per night.  Suites are priced accordingly.  If you feel like a real splurge, go for the George V.  Just don't think too much about the bill =]

  3. If you don't mind spending a lot of money then stay at one of the famous five stars of Paris.

  4. My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Regina in Paris and it absolutely made the trip.  It is located right across the street form the Louvre, the Jardins des Tuilleries.  This hotel has an old world charm about it--you feel like you are back in the 1920's.  Our room had a view of the Eiffel Tower and an antique carousel.  The morning breakfast was included in our price and was a superb buffet.  And the staff exceeded our expectations.  There is a travel agency right next door where you can get any bus day trips you want, so the convenience is perfect for first timers.

The rooms were large, even by American standards with it's own little entryway and bathroom.

When we go again, this is where we will stay.

Enclosed is a link from trip advisor that has pictures of the hotel

  5. Just remember French hotels that are 5 star are classified as 4 star - something to do with avoiding the luxury tax on hotels !!

One of the best sites to use to identify good hotels is :

Paris : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Franc... - with the money you save you can upgrade to the best hotels - but Paris is expensive, probably one of the most expensive places for hotels in the World.
