  1. You can't stay in the heart of the city and not expect to pay the price. That's like saying, I wish to stay at New York's Central Park, but it should also be reasonable.

Lincoln Park has lots of small hotels, only a 15 minute cab ride from downtown.

  2. Not sure what you consider reasonably priced. But most hotels in the Loop, which is right where the Chicago Theatre is located, will cost at least $300 a night. The Chicago Athletic Association Hotel is right across from Millennium Park, which is not far from the Chicago Theatre. The average rate there is $135 per night. Or, the Travelodge Hotel at 65 East Harrison, is about $142 per night.

  3. Renaissance Chicago Hotel is across the street from the Chicago Theatre!!

  4. The Palmer House.

  5. Actually, there are relatively few hotels *very* close to the theater.  However, Google maps lists some within a short distance.  Clicking on the "Next" link at the bottom of the left-hand frame will move you a little further away.

See the accompanying "star" reviews for most.

From personal experience, the Hotel Burnham and W are nice.  Not cheap, but not cripplingly expensive.

    Hope this is helpful!
