Question:

Hotpoint Aquarius DWF31 Dishwasher Inlet Valve

No water is entering the machine at programme start, so I suspect the inlet valve solenoid. I have put a meter over the terminals of the solenoid. The resistance is 3.8k ohm. Is there any other test I should try to confirm that a new valve is deeded before I blow £40 odd on it?
