I have a 2 yr refrigerator that makes ice, but when you push the ice dispenser the light dims and neither crushed or cube ice comes out. the water will dispense but no ice. The dim light with gradually get brighter as it would normally if it was dispensing ice. Any idea as to what the problem would be?

I have the same problem with mine, hope we could get a detailed answer from some kind soul to help us out. Hate to pay a tech to come fix it if it ends up being something we could fix ourselves.
