Hotwire deals to punta cana dreams resort.?

I too have been thinking about booking the exact same trip on Hotwire to punta cana dreams, the price was amazing. I went to book the next day and the price dramatically increased! anyone know much about hotwire, and the chances of the price dropping back down again?

This all depending when you are booking and for what period.

If I where you look also to Puerto Plata, there the beaches are bigger and better and more to do outside the resorts.

My trip went up about two weeks after I booked.  I think it has something to do with the flight - the packages with the cheaper flights sell out first and as those packages are sold the rest of the packages increase.  However, I could be wrong and hopefully it will come back down!

Are you stuck on your dates?  They have an option on the site called TripStarter which gives you the lowest prices for the times you want to travel.

Another option would be to book separately - for example book your flights on Sprit Air  http://www.spiritair.com/welcome.aspx  

(very inexpensive flights which flies to Punta Cana 3 times a week) and then your hotel on hotwire, expedia, travelocity, etc.

i booked a 5 day trip to punta cana dreams resort on hotwire a week ago. the price did flucutate with the dates of travel, and i also found that once i booked, the price dropped even lower. (but i did upgrade my flight) i have double checked my flight itinerary with the airline and it is legit. I also called hotwire and was informed that due to the large quantity of rooms and airline tickets they purchase in bulk they are able to sell them really cheap. I was also informed by hotwire that the resort is guaranteed to be all inclusive and upscale and if the resort fails to provide the all inclusive package as descirbed on the internet the total amount would be refunded by hotwire. you can also purchase travel insurance upto a day before you depart.
