  1. Unfortunately there are no official ghost hunting jobs where you can go and apply for.  About the only way to make money at ghost hunting is to sign a contract with a network for an ongoing TV Series, writing books, making DVD etc on the subject.  You could consider a career in one of several religions that recognize the need for exorcisms, but then you're dealing with demons not ghosts and that's really an entirely different field.

Yep there's a number of schools that have courses for ghost hunting, and most of those are simply courses on the background of ghost hunting.  The only things that make a course worth investing money, in my opinion is one that's accredited and recognized by the Board of Education, and off the top of my head I can't think of any that are.  Courses that are accredited by something like "The blah blah School of Paranormal Studies" isn't worth the paper it's written on. So my recommendation is to go to college and study Creative Writing or Journalism.   At least then you have some  skills for when you write the books on your experiences, plus a day job to put bread on your table.

  2. No I am afraid there actually isn't a full time job that pays.  There are groups who charge for their services and to each his own there, I am sure they have their reasons, but as a rule, no it is not considered a paying full time job. Most of us do it on our own time and at our own expense.  There are on line courses offered but I don't know that it would be any better than just contacting a group that is willing to take you in and train you.

  3. There are amateur groups (most of which do not charge) that you could consider joining. I have included a link below to allow you to locate a group near you.

No there is not a job (that I am aware of) that just involves ghost hunting. Even TAPS sponsored by Sci-FI have full time day jobs.

That said there is a way to pursue such work (and other experimental work) by working in the area of parapsychology.

All full members of the Parapsychological Association (link below) as required hold a doctoral degree (M.D., Ph.D.) and most have them in conventional areas of science (medicine, psychology, physics, sociology, engineering). Most work in academic settings (universities) teaching and researching in traditional sciences and pursue parapsychology on their own. A VERY lucky few have university support and grants to fund their research.

  4. I couldn't find any schools..but here are some workshops. Maybe you can find some in your area. I'm not sure where you live ..so I couldn't look for any there.
