Hello, are the houri's mentioned in Islam the companions of males or for both genders? women might get houri's but are the ones specifically mentioned in Islam as virgin females for men?

since wikipedia mentions houri's as such:

"chaste females", "voluptuous/full-breasted", "with large, round b*****s which are not inclined to hang", non-menstruating/urinating/defecating and childfree".

  1. lol..there are kids out there..:P

well,i posted a hadith about this before...as far as we know, houris are for men, which make sense because 1-their description in quran,2-as heaven would be the ultimate happiness, this is the man's ultimate fantacy :D

s*x drive in women is not as high as in men, this is not the ultimate dream for women>to have s*x.No.

maybe there are houris for us,but they are never mentioned,in quran or hadith...

when the prophet was asked f a man gets a h**r, a beautiful Maiden in Paradise, then what will the women get?

The reply was that the women will get that which the heart has not desired for, the ear hasn’t heard off and the eye hasn’t seen, indicating that even the women will get something exceptional in Paradise.

It is also mentioned in a Hadith that the women of this worldly life have a superiority over Al-hur Al-`In due to the acts of worship and obedience that they performed in this world.

If a woman had a number of husbands, she, upon entering Paradise with them, would choose among them the one with the best character and behavior.

  2. If you talk about justice look at these verses:

Ibn Kathir (May Allah have mercy on him) said the Verse ("fastajaba lahum rabbuhum") means Allah replied to their queries ... and the Verse ("anni la udi'u ‘amala ‘amilin minkum min thakarin aw untha") is an explanation of the reply meaning that good deeds will not be lost or ignored. All men and women will have the just reward for their deeds. The Verse ("ba'dukum min ba'd") means you will be treated equally with respect to rewards

the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) describes Heaven as a place where there are many things which no eyes have ever seen, no ears have ever heard before and no heart has ever felt. Let us pray the Almighty to grant us this great and wonderful place. Let us work harder and harder to be in this place

  3. The Qur'an actually uses "Azwaj" most of the time which means "companions" or "spouses". However, it sometimes uses "Houriis" which is mostly translated as "fair women with big lustrous eyes". However, "Hour", I think, doesn't necessarily translate to "women". Even 'Abdullah Yusuf 'Ali used "Companions" in two places for "Hour 'Eiin" and used "women" once. Pickthal only uses the term "ones" instead of using gender. Anyways, "Hour" is not the only word used in the Qur'an for describing companions in Jannah.
