Question:

House Fly: Kill it or wait it out?

I have a pesky house fly in my room. the d**n thing taunts me, it flies right in front of my face and when i go to swat at it, it just flies and hides... its been doing it for 4 days now, and its bugging the c**p out of me. I know it sounds irrational to be furious at a fly, but I am.

Should I track it down and kill it or is it just easier to wait it out.

  1. PROBABLY BETTER TO KILL IT, MAY BE A FEMALE AND YOU DON'T WANT IT TO LAY EGGS IN YOUR ROOM.

WHEN SWATTING A FLY, ALWAYS AIM 1/4 INCH TO ITS REAR END.  WHEN FLYS TAKE OFF THEY LEAP BACKWARDS A TAD TO GET STARTED....WORKS EVERY TIME.  DISTRACT IT WITH YOUR OTHER ARM HAND STRETCHED AWAY, WHILE WIGGLING A COUPLE OF FINGERS AND THEN SMACK IT!.

  2. Wait it out, they usually die within a couple of days, max 2 weeks

  3. Wait until dark , turn on tv, gradually turn off all the lights until the tv is the only thing on. It will land on the screen and you can smack it with a brick ( or a newspaper ).

  4. If you love something set it free.  If it comes back to you, it's yours.  If it doesn't come back, hunt it down and kill it!

  5. Let it into the wild. If you're desperate, I guess you could kill it.... But do it quickly; if it's a female, you might be in for a whole bunch of babies.

  6. No don't kill it. Bugs are good! Catch it in a box or something and let it outside. That's even fun to do too lol

  7. Its likely going to die on your window sill so you will not be that disruptive.  Since it moves bacteria around your house constantly and it may lay eggs if it find a good food source I do not hesitate to kill them. If you wish to "herd" it, use a large piece of cardboard in each hand and when you have it near a door or window open the door or window and "herd" it out.
