Question:

House Mice?

A couple months ago I found a mouse in my house. We killed it with one of those traps. Just recently we found evidence of there being other mice as well. One chewed through a loaf of bread I had sitting on my counter and chewed a hole through a tomato we pulled from our garden that we had sitting on the window seal in the kitchen. My house is kept clean I don't understand why we have them. My question is how to get rid of them. Should I call an exterminator? Or is there another solution to our problem? Thanks for the help!

  1. Its a horrible feeling to have mice!  And its absolutely nothing to do with keeping your house clean.

I recently had the same problem in my basement.  I used 3 traps loaded with peanut butter (mice love it!)  Altogether I caught 5.  Mice live in communities so its unlike you only have one visitor.  Firstly make sure all of your food stuff is stored away then check everywhere for a possible entry hole (they must be getting in somewhere) and seal it up.  You could try spreading flour or talc around your floors to track their foot prints but that seemed a little messy to me.

Next just relax and wait for the traps to do their work.  The worse thing I found was dumping the bodies!!

    Good luck

  2. If you have only seen a couple, place tomcat brand, decon brand or similar in the area the mouse visits. There are various types of these mice riddance products, some are toxic and some are not. Read the label regarding the brand/type you use.  Myself, I use the toxic but only place it where the kids and or dogs can not reach - touch it! Mice can be harmful pests, spreading diseases through their parasites and f***s. So be sure to use plenty of soap and water for cleanup before and after they are gone.

  3. get those sticky traps  and some come with peanut butter in the middle  if it doesnt put some in the middle  youll have the b*****d very soon

mice like clean homes   i hate them too

and when you get him put another trap in the same place to get anymore that are running around

  4. The easiest thing to do is call a professional. We have the training to solve your problem fast, and can either show you where the mice are entering or repair the holes for you. Keeping a clean house helps but humans supply them with food and shelter so rodents take advantage of that.
