House Prices in Melbourne?

What are the good areas in Melbourne to consider for my family with an average 3-bdr house prices of AU$ 240,000-270,000?

Good= good schools + Safe

  1. LOL.  Sorry, there isn't much in that price range.  You can get a 1-bedroom flat for that....

  2. outer melbourne. try frankston. This is also a great investment.

  3. Im sorry, but you will not secure a 3 bedroom house in a safe area within that price range - even in Melbourne's outter suburbs.

    Is a one or two bedroom unit closer to Melbourne (zone 1) a possible option?  If not, then you will be limited to the outer corridors such as Seaford, Frankston, Rowville, Lalor etc etc.  But again, these are not great "safe" areas and suffer from the typical ramifications of low socio-economic status'.

  4. Werribee, Wyndhamvale, Hoppers crossing, Point Cook , Tarneit, Trunganina, all are outer west about 30 min to city via freeway not in peak hour  & 50 min via train
