Question:

House alarm and DSL?

I have a house alarm system that needs a phone line filter when i get my DSL hooked up. Here is the problem: The phone line for the alarm is wider than a regular phone jack so i cant put in regular filters (and the alarm center is gonna charge like 70$ for it). Can I buy one online anywhere? THANKS!

  1. you should just filter the dial tone at the NID, and leave the wire going towards the DSL modem unfiltered from the NID.
