Shes never been outside, she escaped for about 12 hours through the nice and into the afternoon. Shes always very fun and crazy and running around. Now she is only under my bed. She won't let me hold her or touch her tail or lift her tail, or wen i scratch her back by her tail, she won't put her tail up, even wen she walks she won't move her tail up. Shes eating a lil bit, and peeing only right next to her litter box. What could be the problem, can they break their tails? I'm really worried. Can't bring her to the vet right away because of the hurricane Fay. :(

  1. She may have been attacked by a dog or traumatized in some other way.  As soon as possible, take her to a vet for an exam.

Hopefully, after the threat of the hurricane goes by, she'll be ok, and you won't have to go.  She may be reacting to the barometric pressure of the impending hurricane, also.......

Meantime, leave some of her favorite food, water, and litterbox CLOSE to where she's "hiding".  Maybe, when she's feeling a little safer, she'll come out and eat.   Just leave her be for now........She apparently needs quiet and space.

    Good luck......

  2. her tail could be broken i do not think so though i think a animal or something may have scared her and she is trying to "avoid" it

  3. She may have been hurt when she went outside.

Or she may be reacting to the hurricaine, storms.

I have a cat who hides any and every time he hears thunder.  He'll stay hidden for a good 8 hours after any single thunderclap.

I have dragged him out and tried to comfort him but he's terrified and won't respond.  (Low tail, slinking around sometimes low growling...)

I'd say if she doesn't get better as soon as the storm moves on get her to the vet ASAP.

  4. It could be the hurricane. My cat is acting pretty weird too, jumpy, doesn't want to be touched or held, sulking/ hiding I don't know about yours but this is the first one that has hit fl since I got him. But she could also have been hurt. After the hurricane take her to the vet just in case. You may want to ask the vet about checking her for the cat form of aids, mine says if the cat is outside and was exposed to any other cat they could contract it, I don't think humans can get it so don't worry about that, but I would want piece of mind that she won't be getting sick.

  5. Ti's sounds like someone has hurt her or hard scared her.I'm sorry for that i don't like people that dose things to cats or puppy like that so i hope that she gets better soon.I will pray for

  6. She could have met a male and is feeling a bit sore, Or she may have eaten something that upset her tummy, or she may just be a bit shocked at the big wide world. Give her time to come round and see if she improves.

  7. if it's an unspayed house cat she migh tbe pregnat or sh emight of broken her tail it's posible
