House exchange?

Would it be possible to swap your home, and mortgage etc, with another like minded person.

eg: my three bedroomed home in kent, with £50,000 current mortgage, for a similar property and mortgage amount in Surrey, how would one go about it.

it's possible as long as you get contracts drawn up by solicitors stating your terms and conditions so the other person can't change their mind after the swap is complete. i think there was a case recently in the news, but they didn't have contracts so they had to move back to their home and had to fight for the right to move back there! good luck.

Yes but would it not be easier to sell your house and buy another where you want. you'll be very lucky to find a person in the area you want to move to who wants to move to where you live now
