House foreclosed on in april....?

we have already moved out. do i need to contact anyone? to let them know? and if so what do we do with the house keys? thanks

call the bank that foreclosed on you. THey will likely replace the locks.

u dont need to contact anyone ...they will change everything that needs to be changed.

You could mail the keys to the bank along with a note.  You could also call the bank and tell them.  You could also do nothing, and throw away the keys.  Hardly matters at this point which course you take, though it may help the bank out a little if you told them (won't matter either way to your situation though).

I am sorry to hear of your situation.  It really doesn't matter what you do with the keys because they will probably change the locks anyway.  However, I am curious as to why you didn't list the property with a real estate agent and try to do a short sale?
