Question:

House in Virginia that disappears then reappears...?

I read (on the internet) about an historic home/building that was said to disappear then reappear. Somewhere in Virginia (central or northern I believe) & it's right on a main road or rural hwy.

It fascinated me as it was verified by several people who live in the area.

This was about 2 years ago. I saved the story but then lost it when my computer crashed. I want to go check it out but I've tried several Google searches & cannot find it again so thought I'd check with you folks, just in case =)

Has anyone ever heard about this & if so what is the name of the building & it's location, plz?

Thanks!

  1. I seem to recall hearing about this. I had a friend who lived in Virginia who I believe told me about this house, unfortunately he's since moved & we've lost contact.

I'll see if I can find anything for you tho...

EDIT - here's a list of 'stories' sent in to this website about time/space displacement. None popped out at me that seemed to match your info but you may want to take a closer look:

here's another site, link is the Virginia hauntings page:

EDIT...yer welcome, sorry it didn't help!

(oh, & I feel I should say I didn't give those thumbs down either!! I agree with SShyne about that part of y!a)

  2. I'm pretty sure if this were true.It would be worldwide news.No I've never heard of it.It's the plot line of a novel,I think by Bentley Little, called "The House".I could be wrong about the author, title or both.

  3. WTH? Interesting...

  4. I haven't heard of anything that fits your description.  With all due respect, it sounds like the plot of a YA horror story.  I mean, how hard would it be to verify?

  5. There's a legend of a disappearing house in Bachelor's Grove, in my neck of the woods (Illinois). There are some links below.

EDIT: Don't worry SShyne, we know who gives us the thumbs down.

  6. Never heard of it, but thats pretty cool
