my boyfriend and I had a party at our house last night. needless to say it got busted and everyone ran but him and I. He is 19 so he got an underage drinking citation. Im 23 and I just got a noise violation. He was arrested a year ago for marijuana possession but it was expunged from his record. What will happen? I plan on paying the $250 fine, so is that all I have to do for my noise violation?...and as for him, what will happen in court?

  1. nothing really bad will happen unless he was really intoxicated

  2. DEATH!!!

  3. He'll most likely have to pay a fine and attend some alcohol education classes.

  4. Thats a bit Over The Top.  Christ, in the UK its legal to buy Alcohol at 18 and most Kids under 18 get wasted and the worst that happens?

A telling off from the cops and a few weeks grounded by parents.

If he says how sorry he is I am sure he'll get no more than a fine.  Especially as he did it in doors and not on the streets comitting other crimes.

  5. Seeing that you didn't list your location I'm not sure about the exact legal circumstances for your area, but most often it will be a combination of things such as community service, a fine, alcohol education courses and possible suspension of his driving privileges. In your case, your lucky he was over 18 because you could of received more than just a fine.

As for his previous legal troubles, nothing will happen because once you reach 18 your records are sealed, however if the judge is familiar with him he may take into account previous violations and recommend some type of substance or drug abuse program.

  6. maybe jail time

  7. Did you get a warning for noise....? If not, fight that citation...i would! 250 is steep!

As for your boyfriend, he will be fine. Make sure he tells the court he was in the saftey of his house drinking responsibly with an adult! (you). lol

  8. I'm not sure as to exactly how much your noise violation ticket will cost you, but I'm sure the fine will be it and nothing further.  As for your boyfriend-If his record is expunged, he should just have to pay the fine for the ticket.  I would guess that his citation was probably written for "minor possession/consumption of alcohol."  This is, in most states, is a class C misdemeanor.  In other words, not a huge deal.  Tell him to admit his mistake in court, plead guilty be respectful, etc.  As long as his record has nothing else on it, I'm sure that there will be nothing more than the fine.  Good luck!

  9. well if this is your first time on noise voilation they will make you paqy the fiine and move on with it

for you boyfriend--- he will probly be arreswted becasue of the drinking

  10. he will have to pay a fine, go to classes, and they might even take his DL just depends.

  11. Boy, some law enforcement you have there.  If you were here you would be sitting in jail for complicity. Unless you have to show up for court, all you will probably have to do is pay the fine and that will be that.  He will most likely have to pay a fine and be put on probation.

  12. A fine, maybe some community service.

  13. Expunged is expunged.

He just needs to pay the fine and that is all (unless your state has a class kids also have to take then he needs to do that also)
