House spiders?

Question

I found 2 spiders in my bedroom, and one was a black one the size of a nickle but no red spot, and the other one was the size of a dime and was brown. Any one have any idea what kind of spiders they are?

Many different kinds of spiders live around homes and buildings. Most are harmless and in fact are beneficial, because they prey upon flies, crickets and other nuisance insects.

We had a huge (like the circumference of a baseball) Wolf Spider living in our garage, I made it a point to not let any1 kill her, we called her Wolfy and she would sit on the garage steps. Wolfy is gone now, I dont know where she went.
