  1. lol wait till you find out how much a slip costs lol yes its just like rent

  2. From the City of Long Beach website.

    FAQ- Marinas

Is there a waiting list for slips, or are any available now?

We (Long Beach Marinas- Alamitos Bay, Long Beach Shoreline Marina, and Rainbow Harbor Marina) do not have any slips available at this time (call for changes in available slips). Live aboard status can be applied for after a slip is obtained. We are limited as to the number of live aboards allowed, and no live aboard slip are available at this time. New slips rarely become available in Alamitos Bay, so most customers start out in the Long Beach Shoreline Marina and apply for a transfer to Alamitos Bay.

There is a $50.00, per year fee, which is non-refundable/non-applicable, for the waiting list. To make an application, stop by any of our offices, or send your mailing address and we can mail it to you.

What requirements do you have for live aboards?

Live aboards pay an additional $190.00 per month fee over the slip rate (for 1 person, additional fee for additional persons), and the boat should be completely self contained for cooking, heating and lights. You must have an approved holding tank for your head, and your vessel must be 25 feet or more.

    How is the deposit figured?

The deposit is equal to one month rent.

    How are monthly fees figured?

The slip fees are the length of the boat or the slip (whichever is greater) times the rate, which is

    (effective October 1, 2003)

    Alamitos Bay

    $9.60 for a vessel 29' or less

    $10.55 for over 29' up to 34'

$11.65 for vessels over 34' up to 44'

    $12.85 for vessels over 44' up to 49 '

    $14.00 for vessels over 49'

    Downtown Marina/Rainbow Harbor Marina

    $9.35 for a vessel 29' or less

    $9.90 for over 29' up to 39'

$10.20 for vessels over 39' up to 44'

    $10.85 for vessels over 44' up to 49 '

    $11.05 for vessels over 49'

    Rainbow Harbor

    $14.00 per foot per month

The boat length includes all overhangs like the bow rail, anchor roller, the swimstep, and outboard bracket.
